UFO Sighting (9th July 1996) ---------------------------- Place : Victoria, Australia Source : Shepparton Adviser Exploding red and green lights were reported over the Waranaga Basin area last week in an unexplained phenomenon. The report was made by a 40 year old Rushworth woman who sighted the lights on Wednesday morning heading east on the Tatura road. Two objects were described to The Adviser and a full report of this amazing story can be read on page 4 of this edition. (page 4) Pulsating lights over Waranga Basin "At first I thought they may have been very large stars, or even far away helicopters, but as they drew closer, I knew neither of these assumptions were correct." At 6.22am on Wednesday July 3, heading east along the Tatura Road, Jennie McKenzie of Rushworth noticed two very large pulsating bright lights in the sky. "For a start I only saw one very tall object with what it looked like was an infra red beam projecting from it." "I distinctly noticed I was at the Waranga Basin Wall and as I drove a little further, another much smaller upside down cone shaped object came into view and then exploded from the bottom into a red glow. It then flashed green from the top. Both then receded back into the sky," Jennie told the Adviser. Mrs McKenzie who works at Shepparton's Chicken Man, said she noticed a car behind her during the ordeal, however she had heard no other reports from anyone else of such bright lights. "From the first moment I saw it at 6.22am, until when I arrived in Mooroopna, which was a time frame of about 25 minutes, I could still faintly see these two pulsating bright lights far off in the distance, like stars." "It was amazing. I have never seen anything like it before in my life. I am sure the two objects were working together in some way," she added. Mrs McKenzie said that there was no way the objects were anything but Unidentified Flying Objects. :They definitely weren't stars, planes or helicopters," she said. Mrs McKenzie's reporting of the bright lights, follow a spate of recent reported UFO sightings in the Dookie and Shepparton areas.
